Our Comment
Venezuela is unjustly neglected as a holiday destination: there, you can have a real in- depth and unspoilt Latin American experience, getting to know cowboys in the llanos plains, indians on the banks of the Orinoco, beauty queens in Caracas.
The soft-sand, palm-fringed Caribbean beaches are quite superb, the Andean peaks glitter with permament snow and, to top it all, you have the spectacle of the waterfall with the world's longest drop, Angel Falls, in a lost world of plateaux.
