Angel Falls

3 or 4 days as part of a tailor-made holiday

Days of departure from Caracas subject to flight schedules
Daily from Canaima

4 days, 3 nights (by river) full board
3 days, 2 nights (by air) full board

The base for visiting the Angel Falls is in the National Park at Canaima (fly here from Caracas). Here a huddle of chalets faces a pink sand beach and black lagoon but the Falls, which cascade from the top of Auyan Tepuy, are not visible from the encampment.

Overnight at a simple lodge overlooking the lagoon at Canaima and take a light aircraft flight over the Falls. The light aircraft flight offers panoramic views of the highest falls in the world: a veil of misty spray in the dry seasons, while 3 separate waterfalls are visible in the wet. The most dramatic way of seeing the falls is by light aircraft.

Flights are subject to demand and weather conditions, and will not operate in poor visibility. For this reason we suggest you wait and book your flight locally.

Other excursions can be arranged locally, also at extra cost. These include a trip to Yuri Falls, or full day upstream to Isla Orquídia with spectacular views of the Tepuys.

Please note: In the wet season (June to late October) or after heavy rain, it is possible to do a day canoe excursion to the foot of Angel Falls (a very long day), minimum numbers permitting.
