Pacific to Andes

Travel from Lima on the desert Pacific coast up into the Andes mountains to explore Cusco, Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley of the Incas.  Cross the Central Valley to Lake Titicaca by luxury train, then continue by boat and road along the wilderness Bolivian altiplano to La Paz,  the continent’s most dramatically located city.

Suggested Holiday Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Lima, Peru. Overnight.
Day 2: Fly to Cusco for 2 nights. Guided city tour.
Day 3: Excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Day 4: By train to Machu Picchu. Guided tour of the ruins. Overnight nearby.
Day 5: Afternoon return to Cusco by train. Overnight.
Day 6: Full day railway journey to Lake Titicaca. Overnight in Puno. 
Day 7: Over Lake Titicaca by road and water via the Island of the Sun to La Paz, Bolivia for 2 nights.
Day 8: Guided city tour.
Day 9: Transfer to airport.

Owing to many clients' preference for flexibility, and the variation in flight price according to season and availability, the price quoted excludes the cost of international flights, which we will happily arrange for you. Flights to Latin America can be daytime or overnight, while the return flight is always overnight, so you will need to add at least one day to arrive at the total length of your holiday.
