Family Home

One of the most important parts of your learning and cultural experience is the homestay.

Most host families will give you a key to the outside door and you will be able to come and go as you please. You are not obliged to eat your meals with the family but you should notify your family when you will not be eating at home.

Your host family respects your beliefs and we ask that you show the same respect for their beliefs. It is a good idea to bring some pictures of family, friends, your house and even a map that shows where you live. These can be used to begin discussions with the family.

If you wish to change your homestay, you should notify the school administration.

Hotel

Alternatively we can book 3-4 star accommodation for you. Please enquire for prices. Budget accommodation can be organised locally.

Weather - Daytime temperatures average 30 degrees. Heavy afternoon showers late May to September.

Weekend trips - The school can help with arrangements for trips to the surrounding area including Cozumel, Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Progreso, Celestun and to the ruins of Uxmal or Chichen Itza.
