Spend a day at leisure to appreciate both the historical and contemporary facets of the sprawling, vibrant megapolis that is Mexico City..

Next day by road to the canals and waterways of Xochimilco and the colonial township of Coyoacán, where the artist Frida Kahlo was born. Visit the house (now a museum) where she lived with her husband, the great muralist Diego Rivera.

Following another free day, full day excursion to explore the colossal pyramids at Teotihuacán, visiting the shrine of the Basilica of Guadalupe en route. Overnight back in Mexico City.
