The Copper Canyon is one of the world’s great train journeys. With almost 90 tunnels, 39 bridges and a switchback where the train doubles back on itself, the journey is half the fun! Couple this with the stunning scenery and you have an unforgettable family trip. Children will love learning the history of the bandits in Chihuahua, staying in the house where Zorro was born in El Fuerte, riding the mountain bike trails around Creel and trying out the variety of different Chili peppers. For those with a head for heights, the recently-completed cable car stretching across the canyons claims to be the world’s largest and offers unrivalled views of the region.
