French Guiana, Guyana & Suriname

The Guianas and the Wild Coast

22 days from £7,247

This fascinating trip takes advantage of some of the most unspoilt and least ventured wilderness in Latin America. The three Guianas - Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana - are predominantly a swathe of pristine rainforest and savannah where abundant wildlife is rarely disturbed and indigenous tribes maintain their traditional way of life. Colonialism has stamped its mark along the Caribbean coast: the charming British and Dutch wooden architecture in Georgetown and Paramaribo respectively; the derelict sugar and cocoa plantations of Commewijne; and the eerie remains of the Îles du Salut penal colony.

Flights to Latin America can be daytime or overnight, while the return flight is always overnight, so you will need to add at least two days to arrive at the total length of your holiday.
