Itinerary
Day 1 Fly from the UK, arriving Havana the same evening. Your hotel is in the lively historic centre.
Day 2 At leisure to wander, or take a nostalgic 1950s American classic car/taxi ride around the city.
Day 3-5 Drive through rural Cuba to Viñales, a small town set in a Jurassic landscape of serene valleys and weird rock monoliths. This fairy-tale landscape is a good base for horse-riding, mountain-biking or daywalks.
Day 6 Return to Havana.
Day 7-9 Head to Trinidad, a beautifully preserved colonial town (UNESCO World Heritage Site) set in some of Cuba’s loveliest scenery, backed by shadowy green hills and surrounded by sugar and tobacco plantations.
Day 10-12 Drive cross country and over an incredible 48km causeway to Cayo Santa Maria, or to the island of Cayo Las Brujas in the same archipelago. Day 13 Private transport to Havana.
Day 14 Return to the UK, arriving day 15.

- Visiting the Biosphere reserve at the little settlement of Las Terrazas.
- Breaking your journey from Trinidad to the Cayes (Day 10) to spend extra time in Santa Clara or Remedios.
