Itinerary
Day 1 Same-day arrival in Havana from the UK: your Havana hotel is in the heart of the colonial quarter.
Day 2 At leisure in this vibrant city, where the rhythmic sounds of street musicians are rarely out of earshot.
Day 3 Drive to colonial Trinidad.
Days 4&5 Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 6 Return by road to Havana.
Day 7 At leisure in Havana.
Day 8 Fly to Santiago de Cuba, the nation’s lively second city, with an emphatic Afro-Caribbean charm.
Day 9 Relax in and explore the Santiago area, the mountains of the Sierra Maestra National Park – the birthplace of Castro’s revolution – and the little-visited beaches of the far eastern tip of the island.
Day 10 Drive to Baracoa on a coastal headland.
Days 11&12 Explore this beautiful little town and its surroundings, a lush region of palm and cocoa trees.
Day 13 Return to Santiago.
Day 14 Fly to Havana and overnight.
Day 15 Fly to the UK arriving the following day, day 16.
Flight information
The Foreign & Commonwealth Office currently advises against internal air travel in Cuba which is not operated on behalf of tour operators.
