Day 1: On arrival in Havana you will be whisked down roads choc-a-bloc with 1950's classic American cars and rickety bikes to Hotel Saratoga, a stately place simply oozing with class on the edge of the old city. In the thirties it was the place to be seen, and has been restored to reflect some of this glory. Breakfast included.
Day 2 : You’ll have a city tour of the historical centre, with its crumbly mansions, colonial churches and cobbled plazas. Breakfast included.
Day 3: Free to explore on your own: there are loads of intriguing museums, live cabaret, and hidey-hole bars offering variations on the famous mojito cocktail. Breakfast included.
Days 4-6: After a 5 hour drive to exquisite Trinidad by private car, you’ll have 3 days based at the classy, colonial Iberostar Trinidad Hotel possibly the most quietly elegant in Cuba. You can wander the pretty streets lines with palatial residences, churches and parks in this beautifully preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site. Breakfast included.
Days 7-10: By road across the causeways linking a necklace of islets on the north coast to the all-inclusive Royal Hideaway on undeveloped Cayo Ensenachos. Also inspired by the Spanish colonial style, it is a restful place (for adults only) on one of the loveliest stretches of sugary sand on the island; a far cry from the animated family resorts elsewhere. Unwind on the beach, or try out some of the water-sports. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
Day 11: Fly from Cayo Las Brujas to Havana and the airport. | View from the rooftop pool of the Hotel Saratoga in Havana
