This breathtaking romance spanning a lifetime is set against the vibrant backdrop of 19th century Colombia. Visit the buzzing capital city Bogota, explore Latin America's most evocotive colonial city Cartagena, unwind on the white sandy beaches of Islas Rosarios and discover the lush coastal forest of the Tayrona National Park.
Itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Bogotá, the bustling capital of Colombia, surrounded by the eastern Andes range. Overnight at your hotel in Bogotá.
Day 2: Full-day city tour. Includes an English speaking guide, transport and entrance fees where applicable. Overnight at your hotel in Bogotá.
Day 3: Private car transfer to the airport and fly to Cartagena, transfer to hotel for 4-night stay. Cartagena, founded in 1553, is a wonderfully preserved fortified city and port on the Colombia's Caribbean coast.
Day 4-6: At leisure in Cartagena.
Day 7: Transfer by speedboat to the Rosario islands and stay for two nights.
Day 8: At leisure.
Day 9: Return by boat to Cartagena and overnight.
Day 10: Transfer to Tayrona National Park and stay for three nights at a hotel about an hour's drive from the city of Santa Marta. It has terrific jungle scenery and exquisite, unspoilt beaches, fringed with coconut palms and broken by large boulders.
Days 11-12: At leisure
Day 13: Transfer to Bogotá airport for your flight back to the UK. |
