Patagonian Glaciers Cruise on Skorpios III

4 days as part of a tailor-made holiday

This comfortable, 4 day cruise amid some of Patagonia's most remote channels and archipelagos, reaches the lesser-known glaciers of the southern Patagonian icefield. Your ship accommodates 100 passengers over 5 decks.

Embark from Puerto Natales to embark and sail from Last Hope Sound through a series of sinuous channels, including the aptly-named Kirke Narrowness en route to the Amalia glacier.

Enjoy 2 days of fiord and glacier hopping as the boat continues to the glacier of El Brujo and, next, Calvo Fjord. Here, you'll need to board a smaller craft to reach Fernando, Capitan Constantino and Alipio glaciers.

Skorpios III continues to Montanas Fjord into which 5 glaciers debouche from the Sarmiento mountains. There's an easy walk to the base of the Bernal glacier before meandering by boat (tide permitting) amid the multicoloured icebergs in the vanguard of the Hernan glacier.

Return to Puerto Natales day 3, late evening and sleep on board before disembarking after breakfast.

Our Comment

An intimate perspective of Chile's spectacular southern fjords and lesser-known glaciers which you'll miss out on if you only explore by road. As this cruise starts in Puerto Natales it's very easy to combine with a trip to Torres del Paine National Park.
