Brazil
Rio Carnival
Join the party in Rio de Janeiro
2nd - 5th February 2008, 21th - 24th February 2009 from Rio de Janeiro
6 days, 5 nights
At the height of the southern summer, when temperatures are likely to soar to 40°C, Rio celebrates this once religious festival with joyful, unrestrained pageantry.
For 4 days prior to Ash Wednesday and the disciplines of Lent, Brazilians let go – over-eating, over-drinking, over-dressing, over-undressing: over-indulgence in just about everything that is considered better in moderation for the rest of the year. There are costume parades, samba bands on street corners, beach parties and themed balls.
Once a year is enough – once a lifetime is a must!
How about?
If you can’t be in Rio for Carnival, ask us about tickets for the champions’ parade which takes place on the following Saturday. |
