Active Lençóis: trekking in the Chapada Diamantina Daily from Salvador 4 days, 3 nights Drive directly to Lençóis; explore on foot, visiting natural swimming pools There is a full-day excursion by vehicle into the Chapada Diamantina,  with an (optional) 30 minute climb of the Pai Inácio tabletop mountain for a spectacular panorama of the plateau at dusk. Enjoy an energetic full-day’s hiking along the Sossego ravine: cool off in the Sossego waterfalls before returning to Lençóis. Return to Salvador..  The heat can make walking in this area taxing, and we would recommend a decent level of fitness.  The walk on day 3, is the most testing with steep and boulder-strewn terrain.
