Itinerary
Day 1 Evening departure from UK arriving Foz do Iguassu the following morning.
Days 2&3 Explore Iguaçú National Park. An excursion is included to the Argentinean side of the falls.
Days 4-7 Fly (via São Paulo) to Campo Grande and transfer (4hrs) to Refugio Caiman in the Pantanal wetlands, an ecosystem which supports a huge variety of wildlife such as hyacinth macaw, jacaré caimans, anacondas and giant anteaters. The lodge is a comfortable base for exploration and activities which are organized daily.
Days 8&9 Fly (via São Paulo) to Rio de Janeiro. Excursion to Christ the Redeemer’s statue, crowning Corcovado Mountain.
Days 10&11 Fly to Salvador (2hrs). Your city tour will include a visit to the Pelourinho, the labyrinthine historic core of this exotic city which prides itself on its vibrant African roots.
Days 12-14 Overland to Morro de São Paulo to enjoy the tropical beaches and laid back lifestyle.
Day 15 Return to Salvador and depart by air on day 16 for the UK (via São Paulo) arriving day 17.
