Chalalan Ecological reserve in the Bolivian Amazon Daily from La Paz 5 days, 4 nights or 4 days, 3 nights This rainforest area of remarkable biodiversity is reached by a short flight from La Paz to tropical Rurrenabaque, where you spend the first night. A 5-hour canoe trip upstream on the Tuichi river delivers you to Chalalán Lodge, a small, friendly lakeside property developed with the participation of the local indigenous community. The area comprises pre-montane cloudforests, humid lowland rainforest and savannah grasslands. You may see, or hear, howler monkeys, toucans, macaws, hoatzins and caimans.
