Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 Fly UK to Panama City.
Day 2 Tour of Panama City and the Miraflores Docks on the canal.
Day 3 Drive to Boquete; explore on horseback, birdwatch or relax in hot springs.
Days 4-6 Afternoon journy by bus and ferry to Bocas del Toro, relax on the tropical archipelago.
Day 7 Cross into Costa Rica, continue to San José.
Day 8 River raft or explore the capital city.
Days 9, 10 Drive to Monteverde, full day in the national park.
Days 11,12 Cross into Nicaragua and ferry to Ometepe Island.
Days 13,14 Ferry and drive to Granada.Visit Masaya volcano and market.
Day 15 Continue to León, enjoy the colonial architecture and visit the Pacific Coast.
Days 16,17 Full day drive to Suchitoto in El Salvador. Optional walks and boat trips in this colonial backwater.
Days 18,19 Drive to, and guided tour of, the Mayan ruins at Copán in Honduras.
Day 20 Cross into Guatemala and on to Antigua.
Day 21 Walking tour of Antigua.
Day 22 Depart Guatemala City, arriving UK day 23.

Tour Profile

Transport: 10 road journeys (longest 8 hrs), most with stops.
Accommodation: A variety of simple hotels and guesthouses, several with authentic character.
Meals: Breakfast on days 2, 4-6, 8,9,17 and18.
Excursions: Panama City tour, including the canal; Monteverde Reserve guided tour; Masaya market and Volcano National Park; walking tour of Granada; guided tour of Copán ruins; tour of Antigua.
