Holiday itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Nicaragua, and take short drive to Granada.
Day 2 Walking tour of the colonial centre, optional boat trip on Lake Nicaragua.
Day 3 Visit Masaya market and active volcano.
Day 4 Drive to Matagalpa, mountainous and cloud forest region of Nicaragua.
Day 5 Tour of coffee farm and walks in the cloud forest.
Day 6 Drive to León, visiting rum factory en route.
Day 7 Optional excursion to the Pacific coast, or visit the city's fabulous colonial buidlings and churches.
Day 8 Drive and boat to volcanic Ometepe Island.
Day 9 Optional hikes up the volcanoes, or relax on the shores of the lake.
Day 10 Drive to San Juan del Sur on the Pacific coast.
Day 11 Visit the nearby beaches, the stunning coastline and excellent surf.
Day 12 Continue into Costa Rica and drive to Arenal.
Day 13 Explore the cloud forests and surroundings of Arenal volcano.
Day 14 Drive to San Jose.
Day 15 Depart, UK clients arriving day 16.
