The Copper Canyon railway links the towns of Los Mochis and Chihuahua, 2hr flight north of Mexico City. Spend 4 nights travelling between the two towns, through the Sierra Madre and Tarahumara mountains, breaking up the journey along the way in simple, characterful hotels.
Read more>Day 1: Upon arrival in Mexico City you will met at the airport and taken to your hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to the airport for the flight to Los Mochis/Chihuahua (depending in which direction you are travelling).
Days 3-5: Drive to the start of the railway line, board the train and spend the next three nights travelling along the Copper Canyon, into the Sierra Madre and Tarahumara mountains. The views are breathtaking and there are plenty of opportunities to stop, get up and stretch your legs, including comfortable overnight stops.
Day 6: Transfer to the airport for the return flight to Mexico City.

Combine Mexico with Guatemala, a fascinating country full of colour, culture, Mayan sites and unique scenery. Take a short flight from Cancún to Flores in northern Guatemala and visit the impressive site of Tikal. Continue by air to Guatemala city and onwards to the colonial town of Antigua and the dazzling waters of Lake Atitlán.
Read more>Day 1: Fly from Cancún to Flores and transfer to the Villa Maya hotel before exploring the vast Mayan site of Tikal, where pyramids perforate the canopy of the vast, bird- and monky-filled Peten jungle.
Day 2: Depending on flight times, you may chose to revisit Tikal before the flight to Guatemala City where you continue by road to the white-washed colonial town of Antigua.
Day 3: Half day city tour of Antigua and a coffee farm.
Day 4: You will be driven by private vehicle to Chichicastenango in the highlands. On Thursdays and Saturdays the town comes to life as locals flock to the market place to sell their handicrafts. Continue on to your hotel in Panajachel on the shores of Lake Atitlán.
Day 5: Explore the lakeside villages of San Antonio and Santiago Atitlán, steeped in local culture and traditions.
Day 6: Return to Antigua.
Day 7: Private transfer to Guatemala City airport for your return flight.
