Your request to receive brochures, or for a free subscription to our regular newsletter and details of our special offers, implies that you have accepted that we may approach you for marketing purposes. We will not pass [or sell] to any other person or organisation any of your contact or personal details supplied to us. At any time you may unsubscribe from this service (at the end of newsletters) or by post or ‘phone.

Your booking

In order to process any booking you make with us, and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements, we Journey Latin America Ltd, need to use the information you provide such as name, address, any special needs/dietary requirements etc. We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect your information.

We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as airlines, hotels, transport companies etc. The information may also be provided to security or credit checking companies, public authorities such as customs/immigration if required by them, or as required by law.

Additionally, where your holiday is outside the European Economic Area (EEA), controls on data protection in your destination may not be as strong as the legal requirements in this country. We will not however, pass any information onto any person not responsible for part of your travel arrangements except where a country (usually the USA Dept of Homeland Security) demands this as a condition of your transit of it or its airspace. This also applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of any disabilities, dietary or religious requirements.

Unless we pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in the EEA or not, we cannot provide your booking. In making this booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons.

Please note that where information is also held by your travel agent, this is subject to your agent’s own data protection policy.

Marketing subsequent to booking

We will hold your information, where collected by us, and may use it to inform you of offers in the future or to send you brochures. If you do not wish to receive such approaches in the future, please tick the box provided on our booking form, or unsubscribe in the usual way.

Iginition One Cookies

Ignition One is a phone call analytics tool, used to analyse the interaction between our customers, our website and our call centre. Cookie files are used by the Ignition One system to help demonstrate this journey so that we can improve our customer experience.

These cookies are used to help collect information about how visitors use our website, for our exclusive use. Therefore, these cookies are classified as 'first party' i.e. data is not being gathered for anyone else. We use the information gathered to compile reports that help us to understand how people interact with our business. The cookies store unique identifiers that allow us to track a visitor’s progress through our website over time. They are listed below:

u - Stores the user unique GUID. Expires after 2 years.
f - Stores the last CKSID that was clicked. The click is ignored if the same user clicks the same CSKID. Expires after 7 mins.
d - Helps detect duplicate logging of clicks within 10 seconds. Expires after 10 seconds or at the end of the session.
cdb0, cdb1, cdb2, cdb3 - Stores click stream. Starts at cdb0 and creates subsequent cdbX cookies once each file reaches capacity up to cdb3. Expires after 1 year.
cdbp - Stores click position. Expires after 1 year.

You can opt out of having your anonymous information collected by our third-party service provider by visiting optout.netmng.com/optout.php.  If you select the “opt out” button there, our service provider will delete your existing IgnitionOne cookie(s) and try to place a new cookie that instructs our service provider not to track your future activities when he detects that cookie.  If your browsers are configured to reject cookies when you visit our service provider’s opt-out page, he cannot set our no-track cookie.  Also, if you subsequently erase your cookies, use a different computer or change web browsers, you will need to opt-out again.”
