Visitors are increasingly attracted to El Salvador, eager to appreciate the wild beauty of this tiny country. Hike within the tropical forest of El Imposible National Park or drive along the winding Ruta de las Flores the country’s beautiful coffee heartland, stopping at charming highland villages along the way.
Other highlights include the delightful colonial town of Suchitoto with its cobbled streets and thriving arts scene, and Joya de Cerén – a pre-Colombian village remarkably preserved under layers of volcanic ash. Punta Roca is a popular destination for surfers.
