Rosie Beale: Tour Leader
A lover of all things Latin American, Rosie is a keen dancer and brings years of tour leading and office experience to the role.
Rosie can always be found where the Latin beat is playing – music and dance are among her passions, along with skiing – although the hot tropical countries such as Brazil and Cuba are closest to her heart. She started with us as a tour leader and charmed everybody with her vivacity. We then benefited for several years from her experience and inspiration as one of the London office team. But those itchy feet got the better of her and now he’s back in Latin America tour leading for us again.

Jane Bell: Tour leader
Originally from Australia, Jane led groups throughout Latin America before chosing Brazil has her home, where she now runs a hostel.
From her home in north-east Brazil where she runs a guest house, Jane leads trips for us not only in Brazil but other Latin American destinations she was captivated by on her travels. As a native Australian, she loves surfing and beach life, but is happy to brave the chilly highlands of her favourite continent.

Jessica Dennehy: Tour leader
After graduating and becoming an expert in the lives of Bolivian shoe shine boys, Jessica is most at home in the great outdoors in the mountains or plains of Patagonia.
British born Jessica is a graduate in Latin American Studies, writing her dissertation on shoe shine boys who work in the streets of La Paz, Bolivia. She has also worked as leader and interpreter on walking tours in Spain. Her Latin American experience is extensive and profound – as well as travelling she has lived in Argentina, and worked installing solar panels in Madidi National Park, Bolivia.

Lucho Diaz: Tour leader
An exceptionally popular tour leader, Lucho is a Wanderlust Guide of the Year finalist, and leads tours throughout South America, including his native Peru.
Lucho is exceptional. He works out of his native Cusco; a father of three he is still able to devote himself whole-heartedly to tour leading. He is so popular and valued that he reached the top five in Wanderlust magazine’s world-wide Guide of the Year 2009 award. His knowledge of his country and its history is boundless and he passes it on in an engaging manner.

A fun-loving Latin America enthusiast, Sally taught English in Chile, where she learned the language of the Mapuche and how to dance the cueca. She is also the consummate professional: on tour, she throws herself wholeheartedly into the job and takes immense pleasure in making sure that everyone gets the most out of their holiday.

Toby Fenton: Tour leader
Having travelled extensively throughout Central and South America over the last 15 years, Toby brings his wealth of experience to all of our tours.
Toby first joined Journey Latin America back in 1996 and led tours for us across Central and South America. Deciding to come home, back to the UK for a while Toby has been teaching English and working as a journalist. However, the draw to South America, in particular Brazil, has just been too strong and we are delighted Toby decided to return to full time tour leading with us.

Such is his love for Latin America and sharing it with others that Etienne, resident of Rio, has worked with us as a tour leader for over 25 years. Over this time he has accrued a vast network of contacts and a huge bank of knowledge and anecdotes. His travellers’ wisdom is one of the many things that make him so well-loved as a tour leader, as is his good sense of humour, which puts everyone at ease.

Carolyn has travelled extensively throughout Central and South America, including a stint living in Honduras and working as a dive master in the Bay Islands.
Amongst her love of all things latin, she loves trekking in Patagonia, football matches in Rio and importantly sharing her love of local food and wines with her clients. In between tours Carolyn is off busy exploring new parts of Latin America above and below water.
